Young People’s Concert: February 9, 2018

The District’s 3rd graders had the opportunity to enjoy the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra’s Young People’s Concert on February 9, 2018 at the Rabobank Theater. Maestro Stilian Kirov gave students an excellent introduction to each instrument and family in the orchestra.

The exciting program entitled “Musical Heroes” featured the following music:

  • Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “For a Hero”
  • Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite”
  • Rossini’s “William Tell Overture”
  • Danny Elfman’s theme from “Spider-Man”
