Notes from the Principal’s Desk
Nichols Elementary School is now in its 54th year of serving students in grades K-6 in the Bakersfield City School District. Nichols’ students and staff are focused on academic excellence. We maintain high expectations for each student striving for advanced proficiency on common core standards at each grade level. Our philosophy is to treat each student as though he/she is our own.
Parents are an active part of our school’s community, serving on our School Site Council, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and volunteering consistently in our classrooms.
Administrators and teachers at Nichols Elementary School are committed to academic success for all students. Nichols’ staff collaborates to plan lessons and access student performance through the Professional Learning Communities.
