After School & CST Boot Camp

Goal of ELT:

The goal for Extended Learning Time is to target students who were basic and below basic on the California Standards Test (CST). We will focus on fluency, Key Essential Standards, comprehension and math. In preparation for the CST, students will have extensive review of Key Essential Standards (Spring 2011).

Which student groups and grade levels will participate in this goal?

All students scoring in the strategic level according to California Standards Test in grades 3-6th and any students not mastering diagnostic assessments, and informal teacher assessments.

How will training be provided for ELT?

Professional development will be provided after school to support teachers who are participating in ELT. Coaches will indicate what materials from Pearson and (or) Read Naturally to be used during ELT.
