Harris was named in honor of Caroline Payne Harris for her many years of dedicated service as a teacher and longtime principal. Harris School serve students in Transitional-Kindergarten through 6th grades. We are located on 9.7 acres at 4110 Garnsey Lane. The school was built in 1960.
Our Vision for CAROLINE HARRIS ELEMENTARY
The Vision of Caroline Harris Elementary is to become the leading public elementary school in the Bakersfield City School District. This leadership will be shown through excellence in student achievement, student behavior and student community service. The community of learners at Harris including students, staff, and parents understand that students not only need to learn attributes that make them efficient learners but also attributes that will help them become diligent citizens.
