Parent/Teacher Conference Week

Minimum Days-Dismissal 1:00 p.m.

Conferences will be in Cafeteria beginning at 1:45 – 2:45.

Math Teachers will be in Library.

Special Ed Teachers will be in their classrooms.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Chipman would like to honor women at every step of their breast cancer journey by wearing pink each Friday this month (Socks, Shirts, clothes etc.)  Please join us in wearing pink this Friday as we raise awareness and celebrate Life!  (Due to miss use of paint, absolutely NO paint or markers to be used on face, arms, hands or legs!)

Boys/Girls Football & Volleyball Home Games on Wednesday 11/9/17 against Emerson between 3:00-4:00.  You may attend a sports game here at Chipman if….

  1. You attend with your parents. (Enforced if attending an away game. Students are not allowed on another school campus unsupervised.)
  2. You have a 4.0 card.
  3. You have at least a 3.0. GPA – requirements will be checked at the gate prior to you entering the field to watch the game.

Friday Games – No Afterschool Bus for students staying to support our teams. All students must follow above instructions and have prior arrangements for transportation home after the game.


7th graders interested in going to New York in 2019- there will be a parent meeting Oct. 25 from 5:30pm to 6:00pm. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Kornbau.

Sign up for Lunch League Soccer with Mr. Rojas in room 720.

First scheduled Cross Country practice will be on October 30th. Please meet in Ms. Muro’s room 730 during lunch.

Students who enjoy playing Yugioh, Pokemon, and Magic of the Gathering are encouraged to join up. We will meet Monday to Thursday in room 220 w/Mrs. Lee.

Chess Society:  Mondays and Wednesdays at lunch in room 630 with Mrs. Terry.

Prodigy/Khan Academy MATH GAMES:  Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch in room with Mrs. Terry 630.

Anime League will be with Mrs. Salem on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch, in room 950, and with Mr. Johnson in room 430 on Mondays and Wednesdays, also during lunch.

Japanese League will be held on Fridays during lunch in Room 950.  Students should come ready to learn.

Math Homework Activities will be held in room 610 (Ntui) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during lunch.

Meet the World League, also called International League will be held on Fridays in room 610 (Ntui) during lunch. Come and learn about different countries and cultures of the world.  The door is open to everyone, so come and sign in during lunch.

Room 240 (Johns) will be open for math tutoring or homework make-up for any student during lunch on Wednesday and Thursdays this week. Students must actually be there to work, and not to play games.


Youth Achievement Program.  Activities to be held every week Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3 pm in Rm 210. Must have permission slip!

Migrant Education after school class meets in Room 910 with Mr. Barnes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 for those who have returned a permission slip

Robotics Team will meet in room 620 (Wittman) 2:00 – 2:45 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Cross Country will begin the last half of October.  Please see Mrs. Muro or Mr. Figures for more information and if you would like to sign up.

Volleyball practices will be Monday and Tuesday from 2-3 w/Garza.

Color Guard practice Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 w/Howard Rm 320.

Football is practicing on Monday, Tuesday and Thurs from 2:00-3:00 w/Figures Rm 710.

Oral Language will meet every Tuesday and Thursday after school in room 960 (Bonetti).
