8th Graders- 2018 New York Trip meeting for NEW students wanting to go. September 19th in the Chipman Cafeteria at 5:30. Those already signed up DO NOT need to attend. For more information, please see Mrs. Kornbau in room 110.

Enjoy reading? Then Battle of the Books is a fantastic way to discover even more literature. The first quick mandatory meeting is Tuesday 9/19 at the beginning of lunch in room 930 with Mrs. Garza.

Students who enjoy playing Yugioh, Pokemon, and Magic of the Gathering are encouraged to join up. We will meet Monday to Thursday in room 220 w/Mrs. Lee.


Chess Society:  Mondays and Wednesdays at lunch in room 630 with Mrs. Terry.


Prodigy/Khan Academy MATH GAMES:  Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch in room with Mrs. Terry 630.


Anime League will be with Mrs. Salem on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch, in room 950, and with Mr. Johnson in room 430 on Mondays and Wednesdays, also during lunch.

Japanese League will be held on Fridays during lunch in Room 950.  Students should come ready to learn.

Robotics Team will meet in room 620 (Wittman) 2:00 – 2:45 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Math Homework Activities will be held in room 610 (Ntui) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during lunch.

Meet the World League, also called International League will be held on Fridays in room 610 (Ntui) during lunch. Come and learn about different countries and cultures of the world.  The door is open to everyone, so come and sign in during lunch.

Cross Country will begin the last half of October.  Please see Mrs. Muro or Mr. Figures for more information and if you would like to sign up.

Volleyball practices will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2-3 w/Garza.

Color Guard practice Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 w/Howard Rm 320.

Football is practicing on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00-3:00 w/Figures Rm 710.


Boys/Girls Football & Volleyball Away Games on Friday 9/22/17 against Sierra between 3:00-4:00.  You may attend a sports game here at Chipman if….

  1. You attend with your parents. (Enforced if attending an away game. Students are not allowed on another school campus unsupervised.)
  2. You have a 4.0 card.
  3. You have at least a 3.0. GPA – requirements will be checked at the gate prior to you entering the field to watch the game.
  4. Friday Games – No Afterschool Bus for students staying to support our teams. All students must follow above instructions and have prior arrangements for transportation home after the game.
