BCSD Seeks Community Input on Proposed Actions to Meet LCAP Goals

January, 30 2018 – The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) invites the public participate in an online survey, available in English and Spanish, regarding the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)/Local Education Agency Plan (LEAP). The community is invited to share their feedback on the proposed actions to meet the District’s LCAP goals for the 2018-2019 school year.

The LCAP is required by the state-adopted Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), which provides districts the flexibility on how they allocate funding to better serve the needs of their students. Districts must identify their greatest student needs, set targets for improving performance with regards to those needs, and allocate funding for programs and services to meet those goals. Throughout the next few months, BCSD will engage parents, teachers, staff, students and the community to discuss the progress of the LCAP at BCSD and future planning to improve student learning.

The survey is accessible on the homepage of the Bakersfield City School District website: www.bcsd.com. For more information, call 631-4618.
