Visual and Performing Arts Hosts Fall Art Gallery

November 21, 2017 – The Visual & Performing Arts Department of BCSD hosted its annual Student Fall Art Gallery at the education Center on Baker Street Tuesday, November 14th.  Students, parents and family members were invited to come and view more than 50 students art pieces that were on display.  The original works were chosen from nearly 500 submissions that were received this year.

Estrella Galindo, Sixth grade student at Fremont, was very happy to have her piece “Mother Nature” on display, and when asked about her inspiration she said ,”I started writing a book about nature.  I was thinking about trees and a girl, and it sort of grew from there.”

The BCSD Art Gallery was established in 1996, and provides an outstanding opportunity to display exceptional talents of students from BCSD>  The gallery gets changed three times a year – fall, spring and winter, with a select few that get chosen to stay permanently on display in the Education Center.
