Community Forum on Proposed Actions to Meet LCAP Goals

April 24, 2017 – The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) invites the public to a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)/Local Education Agency Plan (LEAP) community forum on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the BCSD Education Center, 1300 Baker Street. The community is invited to share their feedback on the proposed actions to meet the District’s LCAP goals for the 2017-20 school years. Spanish translation services and child care will be provided.

The LCAP is required by the state-adopted Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), which provides districts the flexibility on how they allocate funding to better serve the needs of their students. Districts must identify their greatest student needs, set targets for improving performance with regards to those needs, and allocate funding for programs and services to meet those goals.
