Traditional “Posadas” Celebration held at BCSD

January 6, 2017 – More than 500 students and families gathered at the District office to celebrate the Migrant Program’s Cultural Academy event “Las Posadas.” The event featured student performances, artwork exhibits, theater workshops, and even a visit from Santa Claus.

The day was filled with performances from community groups like the Azteca Drummers and Dancers whose members include many BCSD students. The McKinley Mustang Dancers performed a folkloric style dance. Performances also included mariachi music by the student migrant mariachi Sol Juvenil.
