21st Teddy Bear Picnic Raises Thousands for Classroom Grants

December 9, 2016 – The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) Education Foundation celebrated its 21st Annual Teddy Bear Picnic Holiday Luncheon on December 8th.

The festivity featured a silent auction of dozens of  hand-crafted gift baskets donated by BCSD schools, District departments, benefactors and the business community.

Guests enjoyed musical entertainment by the McKinley Glee Club and Owens Intermediate Bob Cat Performers.

The BCSD Education Foundation thanks all who participated in the event, including donors and all the volunteers. The event raised more than 20 thousand dollars that will be directed towards teacher grants for BCSD classrooms.
