BCSD Schools Enjoy “Sprinkling Kindness” on Their Communities

October 25, 2016 – Several BCSD schools spent the morning “Sprinkling Kindness” on the commuters and pedestrians that came by their campuses early Monday morning.  Staff and students stood in front of their schools holding signs with encouraging phrases to promote kindness and empathy in their Communities. The signs had phrases printed on them, such as,  “You Are Loved”, “Free Hugs”, and “Go for Peace”.

The “Sprinkling Kindness” event was created by the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) department with the purpose of unifying staff and students to encourage positive behavior and actions in their schools and surrounding neighborhoods.

When the event concluded, the hope was that each passerby and participant felt a little bit more joy as they continued their day.
