September 9, 2016 – The district hosted its 3rd Annual Musical Instrument Vendor Fair Thursday night at Garza Elementary. This special event provides an opportunity for parents in the community to preview many different instrument rental options through the participating vendors.
There were many different instruments on display including trumpets, violins and saxophones. There were many attendees throughout the night, including parents, students and music teachers. Attendees got the chance to view and handle many of the instruments. Most importantly, the families were presented with options and plans to help them rent or own a musical instrument.
Many local vendors participated in the event as well, including California Keyboards, Music and Arts, and Nick rail music.
The Vendor Fair, hosted by the Visual and Performing Arts Department, has helped the District increase participation in the Instrumental Music Program. In fact, last year’s student enrollment in the program was the highest it has ever been!
