Back to School Night
September 16, 2016 – The Bakersfield City School District celebrated Back to School Night this week across its 42 elementary and middle/junior high schools. Thousands of parents and students met with principals, teachers, office staff, and all personnel from various programs who contribute to the academic success of our students every day.
Stella Hills Elementary School parent Dionisia Apostol said “It is very important to participate in Back to School Night; as parents, we show that we are here for our kids, and demonstrate our support to the teachers and staff members who help our children.”
Back to School Night events are key in building communication between parents and the schools. “Parents can learn about the expectations in our classrooms and be able to build a relationship with the teacher,” said Diana O’Neal, Principal at Stella Hills Elementary School.
