BCSD Curriculum Lab Opens for 2016-2017

August 15, 2016 – The Bakersfield City School District Curriculum Lab held a grand re-opening celebration on August 8th to show off the new and improved facility to BCSD staff. Hundreds visited throughout the day to check out all the lab has to offer, such as laminators, poster makers, binding machines, and much more.

The purpose of the Curriculum Lab is to help administrators, classroom teachers, instructional aides, parents and anyone involved in education to make better use of existing instructional materials, programs, and equipment. The lab wishes to provide meaningful teaching aides and materials not readily available from other sources. All visitors may use materials in any way they choose as long as it is to enrich student environments and learning.

The Curriculum Lab is located at the BCSD Education Center at 1300 Baker Street and is open to BCSD employees free of charge if they are working on educational related materials. Parents and out-of-district users are charged for all materials used as well as an equipment fee of $3.00 per day.
