Alta One presents check to BCSD Education Foundation
May 5, 2016 – The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) Education Foundation was selected by Alta One Federal Credit Union as a charity to benefit from their Skip-A-Pay program. Twice a year, the credit union offers their members the opportunity to skip a payment for a fee of $29. Alta One donates $5 of each fee to a local charity. For the November/December 2015 Skip-A-Pay period, the credit union gathered $1,465 in donations from 293 of its members and selected the BCSD Education Foundation as the recipient. During April’s Board of Education meeting, Christopher Lowe, Member Service Manager for Alta One, made a check presentation. Donald Vereen, President of the Education Foundation, and fellow board members, were present to accept.
A sincere thank you to Alta One Federal Credit Union for investing in the education of BCSD students.
