Disney’s The Lion King Jr Comes to BCSD
February 10, 2016 – The GATE Magnet Program at Bessie Owens Intermediate is currently presenting their rendition of “Disney’s The Lion King Jr.” Students acted, danced, and sang during the musical that brought to life the African savannah on the stage of the Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) Auditorium during the first presentation on Wednesday morning. Directed by Mr. Frank Sierra and Miss Kelci Lowry, the production’s program curriculum is designed to introduce students to a wide range of theatrical skills and help bring theater to the classroom.
Performances are scheduled for the following dates inside the BCSD Auditorium:
Wednesday, February 10, 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 11, 6:00 p.m.
Friday, February 12, 9:30 a.m.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Admission is free.
