BCSD Students Among Winners at 2016 Kern County Oral Language Festival

January 30, 2016 – The 45th Annual Kern County Oral language Festival was held January 30, 2016 at Stonecreek Junior High School. Students from grades 4th-8th from districts around the county presented their interpretations of a published literary work. This approach supports a curriculum that invites students to enjoy literature through reading, writing, listening and speaking. Presentations were 3-5 minutes in length in the following categories: Verse Choir, Humorous Interpretation Solo, Humorous Interpretation Duo, Serious Interpretation Solo and Serious Interpretation Duo.
