School Readiness Initiative
BCSD’s School Readiness Initiative (SRI), funded by First 5 Kern and First 5 California, is designed to implement programs that improve the transition from early care settings to elementary school and increase the schoolsí and communitiesí capacity to promote the success of young children.
East Bakersfield Community Collaborative
The East Bakersfield Community Collaborative is a broad-based, grassroots, coalition formed in 1992 and made up of East Bakersfield residents, landlords, business owners, community-based agency representatives, health service providers, churches, law-enforcement personnel, school personnel, and representatives from both the city and county, working together to make East Bakersfield and its county islands a safe and nurturing environment for families, children, and businesses.
South Chester Partnership Collaborative
