The ASP crew at Evergreen Elementary has been busy making this year exciting and fun for their students. They cater to a hundred and twenty students ranging from 1st grade through 5th. In the month of September, the site was privileged to receive the great news that they were chosen as the first after school site to be given a special surprise. The efforts from the Boys & Girls Club of America and Olive Garden each student received a free dinner which included a pasta dish, bread sticks, and a salad. Four awesome students were chosen to receive a bonus pack consisting of a meet and greet photo-op, and a free shirt. The ASP students in return expressed their great appreciation through posters, cards, art projects, and a loud…Thank You!
In the works, Evergreen ASP is planning a Literacy Month for November to encourage stronger family connections and reading together. The goal is to promote reading, writing, and creativity. Students will read and examine various books, and discuss their deeper meaning. They will end the month with an Open Book Night, where each class group will perform acts from their favorite short story that they read together.
